Phuket Thai Hua Museum is situated on Krabi Road in Phuket Town. Originally, it used to be the first Chinese-language school in Phuket. Later, it became the Museum under the Hokkien Chinese association. The main purpose of the museum is to gather the history of Phuket from the past until the present and to commemorate the virtues of the ancient ancestors. Thai Hua Museum occupies a well-maintained Sino-Portuguese architecture style. It was founded in 1934 and has been restored to the perfect condition to be a learning center for the community. The top of the building is also used as a Chinese language classroom. The section below is often used for various exhibitions which is divided into 13 parts, such as exhibiting from the history of the Hokkien Chinese who traveled to Phuket, shows, beliefs, lifestyle, traditions, art, culture, the relationship between the Chinese and locals, etc. For more than 60 years, these exhibitions have created interest by using modern multimedia media that are fun, easy to understand and suitable for visitors of all ages.
