Phuket Vocational College, also known as "Phuket Tailor School," was founded in 1940 and is considered Phuket's oldest educational institution. It offers tailoring courses at Wat Mongkhon Nimit, Yaowarat Road, Talat Yai, Phuket Town. Later in 2516, it was renamed "Phuket Vocational School," and in 1976, it was renamed "Phuket Vocational College." However, in 1978, the college was relocated to the Saphan Hin area, next to the Phuket Naval 3 Radio Station, Thepsrisin Road, Talat Yai, which is the current location. There has been the construction and development of more teaching buildings until the present. This college is currently accepting students who want to study a specific vocation in order to pursue a professional career. It offers courses leading to a Vocational Certificate and a High Vocational Certificate. The Vocational Certificate is a 3 program that accepts students who graduated from Mathayom 3 (Grade 9) from all institutions, including Commerce and Business, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Home Affairs, and Faculty of Tourism Industry. The High Vocational Certificate Program is a 2 program open to students who have completed Mathayom 6 (Grade 12) or Vocational Certificate 3, and includes the faculties of Business Administration, Fine and Applied Arts, Home Affairs, Tourism Industry, and Information Technology. There is also a 2-year bachelor's degree program that continues from the vocational level and includes the Faculty of Tourism Industry and the Faculty of Information Technology.
