Sirinat National Park is a marine national park with an abundance of natural resources. The general topography is flat, with lush green small mountains surrounding the national park, which covers 76% water and 24% coastal land. It is a beautiful white sandy beach that stretches for 13 kilometers. There are also beautiful coral reefs surrounded by natural sea pine forests. It is also a nesting site for sea turtles, and tourists can experience various sand crabs and rare seashells in this area. However, the major attractions in the Sirinat National Park include Nai Yang Beach, Naithon Beach, Layan Beach, Mai Khao Beach, Sai Kaew Beach, and Koh Waew. However, this national park is located on Phuket Island's northwest coast and covers an area of approximately 90 square kilometers (56,250 rai). It also serves Thalang, Phuket Province, and is only one kilometer from Phuket International Airport. Sirinat National Park was previously just a reserved grazing field in Sakhu, and it was established as a national park in 1977, covering the beach area from Sai Kaew Beach to Mai Khao Beach and Nai Yang Beach. Later, the National Park Department surveyed the areas of Mai Khao, Sakhu Subdistrict, and Choeng Thale, Thalang District, and discovered that this area was rich in natural resources, and it was designated as "Nai Yang Beach National Park" in 1981. This national park is regarded as Thailand's 31 st national park. Sirinat National Park was expanded to the area of Thachatchai on August 12, 1992, the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 5th birthday, covering an additional area of approximately 4.48 square kilometers, and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit later gave the name "Sirinat National Park" to the present.
