Rawai is a very interesting subdistrict with several tourist attractions and stunning coastal lines. It has abundant natural resources, the Andaman Sea, and small neighboring islands as follows;
- Phromthep Cape is a famous landmark of Phuket that all tourists should not miss. It has a world reputation for its beauty, attracting a constant stream of tourists, both Thais, and foreigners, every year. The surrounding area is full of souvenir shops and food carts lined up along the road.
- Windmill Viewpoint is situated on the south side of Phuket Island. It is located next to Phromthep Cape. From this viewpoint, you can admire the beautiful scenery of Phromthep Cape and Ya Nui Beach. On the other side of the viewpoint, you can see Nai Harn Beach in the distance. This is a place to watch the sunset as beautiful as Promthep Cape.
- Nai Harn Beach is a beautiful beach with a very relaxing atmosphere. It is famous among foreign tourists. Nai Harn is recognized for its fine sand and both ends connecting to foothills. The surrounding area barely has construction; therefore, it is quite relaxing to swim.
- Koh Kaew Phitsadan is a small island located opposite Phromthep Cape, only 3 kilometers away. The island has fertile nature, and it is home to the Koh Kaew Phitsadan Monastery. Tourists can visit the island by taking boats from Rawai Pier for 5-10 minutes. On the island, there is the fifth Buddha's footprint enshrined on the rock as well.
Rawai is fully developed with complete facilities in every aspect. The location is full of fresh markets and shopping centers such as Super Cheap, Makro Food, and Tesco Lotus Rawai, convenient for people living in the community. Other essential facilities are as follows;
Public Health in Rawai Subdistrict includes Rawai Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, which has medical teams to give basic advice and treatments for preliminary diseases. Also, there are alternative specialized clinics.
As for transportation, Rawai has convenient transport systems by land and water methods. The main roads are Wiset Road (Route 4024) and Route 4030. Also, there are small roads to other communities. Mass transit in Rawai includes local mini buses or Songthaew to nearby areas. Rawai has Rawai Pier for speedboats and long-tail boats to support tourists traveling to nearby islands for the water method.
