Get to Know Sakhu
“Sra Kho” is the former name of Sakhu Subdistrict. The general terrain of the subdistrict is lowland. There are mountains interspersed with plains along the Andaman Sea. The subdistrict is located in the lower northeast of Phuket Island. It has a tropical monsoon climate which is influenced by the northeast monsoon and southwest monsoon winds. Thus, it can be divided into 2 major seasons: the summer season, from January to April, and the rainy season, from mid of May to December. The north of the subdistrict is adjacent to Mai Khao, the south is adjacent to Choeng Thale, the east is adjacent to Thep Krasattri subdistricts, and the west is adjacent to the Andaman Sea. Sakhu Subdistrict consists of 5 communities: Ban Nai Yang, Ban Trok Muang, Ban Sakhu, Ban Naithon, and Ban Bang Ma Lao, which is in the administration of Sakhu Subdistrict Administrative Organization.

Koh Pling (Pling Island): is located in Sirinat National Park (Nai Yang Beach). It is a tourist attraction that is rich in natural resources. The atmosphere is shady and peaceful, with clear water and white sand beaches interspersed with rocks. There are many shallow coral reefs, which are home to many marine animals such as parrotfish, rabbitfish, and sea cucumbers suitable for snorkeling.
Naithon Beach: is a beach on a small curve. The surrounding atmosphere is very peaceful and not crowded, suitable for relaxing, sunbathing, and exercising. This beach is very popular with foreign tourists seeking to escape the chaos.
Nai Yang Beach: is a part of Sirinat National Park. It has a length of about 3 kilometers. The west side of the beach is adjacent to Mai Khao Beach and Naithon Beach.
