The building (the bricks and mortar) can be owned by a non-Thai national outright in their name in what is called the house registry which secures ownership indefinitely of the structure. 

In Thailand non-Thai nationals cannot own land outright in their name. Land can be controlled through either a Thai Company or a long-term registered lease. The longest registered lease term by Thai law is 30 years and most developers will offer 3 terms for a total of 90 years.

    I have a plan to buy a villa in Koh Samui. I've searched for many places until I found it here. The design of it looks so luxurious. Most importantly, you can enjoy the sea view from every villa. There is also an infinity pool, and I’m so happy to imagine myself swimming in the pool. The price is reasonable. If you buy it now, I think they will offer you a convincing promotion. I think the villa might be very private because the whole project has only eight units. It's easy to travel around. It's only 1 kilometer away from Coral Cove Beach. It's a built-to-order villa. It takes about 1 year to finish. For me, I can't wait!!
